R.O.ILAGAN PROJECT LOGISTICS, INC. has evolved from its humble beginnings as a customs brokerage firm named RO Ilagan Customs Brokerage and established in 1995 by its founder and licensed customs broker, RENER  O. ILAGAN. After a few years of consistently handling materials and equipment for its customers, the company started to get jobs in 1999 of actually transporting and positioning equipment for its customers. Word of safe and efficient handling of non-containerized shipments by the company started to get around, and soon RO ILAGAN would find itself starting to acquire transport and lifting equipment to meet the increasing demand of its clients to do port-to-site delivery and rigging services. This meant gradually building, over the years, its fleet of transport and lifting equipment that included multi-axle transporter, cranes, forklifts, drop-deck trailer, low-bed trailers, high-bed/flat bed trailers, tractors, and rigging tools.  Its international tie-ups and regular collaboration have now allowed RO ILAGAN to extend its service coverage to engage in origin-to-site deliveries. Moreover, ROILAGAN invested—and continues to do so—in training its riggers, drivers and operators for technical competence certification.

Keeping itself updated and at par with the latest rigging and project logistics handling techniques remains a top priority to this day.​

In a bid to make its name represent its transformation to an integrated logistics service company, RO ILAGAN PROJECT LOGISTICS, INC. was created in 2012 to manage, design, craft and execute a seamless logistics solution for cargo requiring specialized handling and intended for the oil and gas, power, energy and manufacturing industries from ship/aircraft chartering, vessel attendance, customs clearance, electro-mechanical works (during dismantling and erection assist),warehousing, cargo marshalling, trucking, barging and rigging from/to origin anywhere in the world to any point in the Philippines.
